Good morning, Friends!
This image from a sunset in Texas may look dark but I see the silhouette of the trees lifting their branches upward as if in praise. The golden orange sun and clouds make a great backdrop for these bare winter trees. I grabbed this photograph from my archives to pair with this Scripture as I had photographed it at the back of a field where there was a wooded stand of oaks. The whole Psalm speaks of worship and praising the Lord. Parts of this Psalm were from David’s dedication of the tabernacle on Mount Zion, and part of it looks forward to the time of praise from all the nations with the joy, for when the Lord reigns from Jerusalem. It is always time for me to remember to rejoice in the Lord and not get caught up in the world’s woes. God is sovereign and His plans are perfect. I rejoice that I do not need to worry, but just trust. I pray blessings and joy for you all this coming week!

Happy Resurrection Easter Sunday, Friends!
Today I chose Scripture to go with my photograph of the sun shining bright in the sky. I added a cave-like opening to represent the inside of the empty tomb looking out. A happy and serene scene to depict the risen Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. Because He rose from the dead, we Christians will also rise from our death to eternal life. Today my words are brief, as those who know, know it is a happy celebration of God’s love and plan from the beginning of time. Celebrate our Lord and Savior today. May you have a blessed and fruitful week ahead! Today is Palm Sunday, as you know, and this is a day to reflect on the week before Resurrection Sunday - Easter. As Jesus rode into Jerusalem the people took palm branches and said the words of this verse that I chose to pair with my image. The image I photographed is the curve of palm leaves at an angle making an arc toward the sun. The sun in the image has its rays formed like a cross to portray what is to come. These palm leaves had curly strands starting to unravel from the leaf which to me symbolizes the pharisees hearts that complained about the people praising Jesus. Soon after the palm branches and the praises, they will turn - to the words ‘crucify Him’, hence the subtle cross in the sun. A solemn reminder of what the Lord Jesus Christ went through - to die for our sins so we could have eternal life with God.
May your holy week be filled with gratitude to God and praise for the Lord who loves you so much. Christ is King. |
