It was a frosty cold morning when we saw this beautiful deer buck in the field at the back of our property. We barely saw him because he blended in with the grasses which have turned a golden brown now. It amazed me that his coloring changed with the season as well. I think about how God protects us many times throughout our life and we don’t realize all of it. I do know I can count on God’s word to keep me spiritually sound because it is without error. It’s the only truth in this world to be secure in. Thank You, Lord, for giving us a way to You and for Your divine protection of our souls.
May you have blessings this week in preparation of giving thanks to the Holy One. This is one of the few ‘mighty oaks’ on our property. I call it a mighty oak because it is about 50 feet tall and this is actually the top half of the tree silhouetted against a beautiful sunset. God in His creation made some beautiful atmospheric paintings for us to enjoy. The sky was a gorgeous pink and blue which is not really conveyed in this photograph. My thoughts are that those special sunsets are real time instances in life to just be in the moment and praise God for His majestic holiness and blessings of nature. As king David was honoring God in this Scripture, my desire is to continue honoring the Lord in my daily life. That sunset from a few days ago is now gone and forgotten as far as the east is to the west. I am thankful for beautiful reminders of how kind and loving my Lord Jesus is. I pray blessings and moments of gratitude for you as we approach the Thanksgiving holiday in the next couple of weeks.
