Photo-Scripture, Mini-Devo
Sometimes I get caught up with the worries of tomorrow. I tend to get a bit stressed at what is happening or not happening in the world and what needs to happen! I always come back to what does God’s word say? I am thankful that God has the best plan and He has the future in His hands. He knows our days and hours and I know that I need to keep building up that trust and faith to carry on each day as it comes. I am also grateful for His provisions to His children. Compared to eternity, our life on earth is a vapor. I pray for solemn contemplation on the Lord’s words, and blessings, for us all this week.

My goodness, we had a taste of severe cold weather this past week in our parts of the country! The snow fell and kept falling, as well as the temperatures. We know that our Creator God is unique in His design and I have to say this snowfall was a beautiful display of God’s quiet power. It was soft and pure and still. It gave me moments to reflect on our Lord and His awesomeness. He is holy and good. We think we control so much but then there are days we find out that we do not. I pray for all the people still affected by the weather events and may they turn to God through this seeming calamity. We know God’s ways are higher than our ways and His plans will ever be ensured. Blessings and the warmth of His love to you this week!
These days it is hard to put on love. We hear all kind of definitions for love but the true love of the Lord Jesus Christ is given as a free gift – His death on the cross for you and me – dying for our sins to give us everlasting life in heaven. Surrendering my life to Him is a supreme blessing and His love is One of a kind. The love of the Lord Jesus is the only example to live by. My prayer life has to include those who I deem ‘enemies’, what better victory to have than for them to come to know the Lord? Love is an action and I pray that I can be a conduit for God’s love to everyone who is in my path - with discernment of wisdom on how to do that. May you have a blessed week and stay safe and warm!
