Good Sunday morning, all!
I try to get up very early in the mornings and spend them reading my bible, getting mentally ready for the day. It also inspires me for when I pick the Sunday Photo-Scriptures for my Sunday blog. I generally choose a bible verse first and then the photograph to go with it, but sometimes a photo will grab me and I then search for Scripture to go with it. As in this one today, my first thought when I looked at this bee upside down on a blossom was ‘hang in there’. I chose this verse from Ephesians to accentuate the ‘how’ of that phrase. This verse is the forerunner to putting on the whole armor of God (provision of strength). I know I can be strong when I trust in Him and rely on the Lord’s power to keep me going. If I can just remember to do that ALL the time! Short and sweet today. May you all have a faithful and blessed week ahead!

On the road while in northwest Texas, we saw this big cross on the highway and actually there are several of these along the road in this section of northwest Texas. It reminded me of why we are making the long drive to California recently and what I might be facing in the future. I chose this verse from Romans to refresh my spirit and remember that God is with me wherever I go. He has conquered all for us already (in the Greek this means conquer completely, He has done it and that’s final). In going to the cross for us and enduring the agony, Jesus Christ said it is finished. It is over, death has no grip ever again for those who are called to believe in His name and call Him Lord. So, I have to admit that these life circumstances are pale in comparison. I just need to remember to lean on Him when the going gets tough.
Blessings to you this week! |
