Sunday Photo-Scripture, Mini-Devo
A wonderful friend gave me some iris bulbs a couple years ago and when I moved up here I brought them with me and replanted them. This year so many of them bloomed and were so pretty. I really love this particular photograph which is a close up view of the flower. The sunshine in the background is perfect to pair with this Scripture which is packed with major hope and truth. Every day the news is more crazy and I go through a lot of stages of emotions - but at the end of the day I hark back to what truth is. There is only one truth and through the gift of faith from God, I can and do know the truth. I fear God, which means my reverence belongs only to God. The Lord Jesus lights up my heart with joy and I am most grateful for His daily blessings. This world is not my home; I belong to God and I am so thankful I am His and He is mine. Whatever mankind does in this country in the guise of the flavor of the day, I will and must stand on God’s promises and truth. That is my living hope, my solitude and my peace. Blessings to you this week!

The bluebonnets are out! I love to see the country roads with all the wildflowers and I am thankful the snow event in February didn’t affect them. This is one of my favorite pictures that I took this week and I paired it with this verse from Psalm 65:10 because it reminds me of God’s wonderful grace and mercy. The whole Psalm is a praise to God for his provision of salvation and His wisdom in nature. We see His hand everywhere in creation, His beauty and His exceeding grace. I am reminded to keep my eyes on the Lord, my heart in His word and my mind on who He is. God is in control every day and always. May you be blessed this coming week!
Sunday Photo-Scripture, Mini-Devo
This week I ventured out to the wild flower field near me and although there are only the earliest Spring flowers I still found a joyful scene. This little ladybug on the stem of a wildflower made me think that it’s the little things in life that I need to look for sometimes - and get away from the big picture. I enjoyed a little walk in a little field and found little flowers with a little ladybug – and had BIG joy in this little adventure. I give thanks to God for this amazing little world around me! I pray you have a blessed week and joy in the little things! |
