Hello, my friends!
It is hot in Texas, but we are to get a respite from the extreme heat for a few days, that’s summer in Texas for ya! I am trying to get back in the swing of praying and reading God’s word more consistently. This photograph of geranium flowers growing up and out, from my mother’s planter garden, reminds me of the blossoming that happens when into reading God’s word – a constant mode of growing. Watering the plant produced an abundance of flowers; funny how that works. I liked this bible verse from Romans 12:12 for this image, which I edited in an artsy painterly style. The verse is in the middle of a paragraph that the Apostle Paul teaches on how to act like a Christian. It is a brilliant instruction on God’s precepts and a comfort for the characteristics I need to aim for in my life. This verse speaks to my hope in the Lord Jesus Christ, my patience in trials and my desire to be in prayer as the only way to seek grace and encouragement. It would do me good to read the section of Scripture in Romans 12:9-21 every day. May you all have a calm and comforting week to come.

Good Sunday Morning, Friends!
I am back in Texas, settling in and trying to get used to the heat! While in California, I did get spoiled by the mild weather. My mother’s roses were blooming the whole time I was there and this image is of a new bud just starting to open up. It reminded me of this bible Scripture from 2 Corinthians 5:17, so I placed that verse on the image. I am grateful the old things are in the past; I am not bound to old habits – at the point of salvation I see through Spiritual eyes and my desire is to please the Lord in all I do. I fail, but thankfully God forgives those who belong to Him. I am thankful to my Lord Jesus Christ for all He did to allow me into His kingdom and one of my prayers is that anyone l come in contact with will be drawn to God and know how blessed it is to believe and know the Lord Jesus. I pray you all have a wonderful week ahead. Good morning, Friends!
This image of a bee gathering nectar and pollen from a flower reminds me of trusting God and remembering that He knows what is best for me. I matched this bible verse to this image because it is a great example of how the Lord Creator fashions everything to work in His perfect ways. I like to be in control but, ultimately, I know that God has my life in His hands and I know that He knows what I need. I also know I need to daily ask Him for strength and wisdom, trusting God to take care of the things out of my control. I am so glad His word is the only absolute truth and that is so comforting to me. May you all have a blessed week! |
