Hello, Friends!
Today’s Scripture is one that I have cherished for years and years. I need to read it every day because every day I need to do this. This image of two deer from my archives shows one giving a little nudge to the other. I edited it with slight painterly style and an ornate border. A great pastor long ago explained that love is an action and that has helped me to complete some tasks that I thought would be difficult. They were difficult, but with God all can be done with compassion and might. Some days are tougher than others and at the end of the day all I can say is ‘Thank you, Lord’ for getting me through it. I feel like the world has been opposite and evil, especially this past week – I trust and know that nothing that happens will escape God. The deeds will be dealt with, and my duty is to be the light that shines Christ’s love, pray for those that hurt and do what I can with a gentle spirit and love of God. My you all have a peaceful week ahead.

This flower in today’s photograph is a pure white rose budding open, patiently growing, with the hope of its petals blooming full in time. I chose today’s bible verse because lately I have been needing patience. This verse is one of the apostle Paul’s many benedictions; it needs to be a life verse for me - because life has its ups and downs and sometimes the stress level is on 8. I know that is the moment I must direct my heart into God’s love and must resolve to ask for His love to take over. I thank the Lord all the time for His patience with me, so why can’t I go there first and project that to others? Prayer in my heart, mind and soul with the word of God is the answer I tell myself. Oh, how I need Him every moment and I am so glad Jesus is always there.
May you all have a blessed week ahead! This image is from last year when the deer mamas were calving their babies and this doe had twins. I photographed them out in the country where we live in north Texas. I think it is a sweet photograph of the fawns sticking close to mom. As I edited this image in a slight painterly style, I chose this Scripture as a strength verse for me. I really need to resolve to carry on each day remembering my service to the Lord Jesus in all I do, in order to bring Him glory. I struggle at times and then realize where my strength should come from. God is able and is always there for me. The clothing represents inward faith and trust in God, besides sincere reverence for Him. That is my aim - in time there will be rejoicing, God knows our future and I am glad of that.
May you have blessings always! |
