Today is Palm Sunday, as you know, and this is a day to reflect on the week before Resurrection Sunday - Easter. As Jesus rode into Jerusalem the people took palm branches and said the words of this verse that I chose to pair with my image. The image I photographed is the curve of palm leaves at an angle making an arc toward the sun. The sun in the image has its rays formed like a cross to portray what is to come. These palm leaves had curly strands starting to unravel from the leaf which to me symbolizes the pharisees hearts that complained about the people praising Jesus. Soon after the palm branches and the praises, they will turn - to the words ‘crucify Him’, hence the subtle cross in the sun. A solemn reminder of what the Lord Jesus Christ went through - to die for our sins so we could have eternal life with God.
May your holy week be filled with gratitude to God and praise for the Lord who loves you so much. Christ is King.
