Good morning, friends!
This week I am thinking about Scripture that gives me comfort. I will be leaving California in a few days, and it will be a bittersweet exit. Although I have had some time here to process grief over losing my mom, I think I will miss her more as the road miles add up heading toward Texas. I have concerns for my sister who will be alone in this house after I leave but I am thankful for my other sister and her family who lives close by and will ensure her well-being. These bothersome thoughts are what I must release and purpose to trust my God and put everything into the Lord’s hands. I photographed these Indian Mallow blooms that were drooping down after a recent rainfall and they kind of reminded me of my slight melancholy spirit. I processed the image with a watercolor painterly style, and I paired this Scripture verse from Psalms with it because even though the flowers have a gloomy appearance, they are strong and do not drop off the plant. So, the encouragement for me is to trust God and recite in my spirit that He is in control always. Have a blessed week and please pray for traveling mercies for us as we head back to Texas in a few days.
