Good morning, everyone! This is the last advent Sunday for the season and the message is Joy. We are full of joy because the Savior was born in Bethlehem for the express purpose to save His people. This Christmas may we all remember our first love, when we came to know our King. May we continue in that joy that permeates our hearts and let His light shine in and through us. I get so tired of the worldly views of this season and grapple with feeling down at times. To get out of that oppressive atmosphere I have to go to the Word and review the real message of Christmas in Scripture, then my attitude of gratitude rises up.
The Scripture I chose for this photograph of the sun shining through clouds tells it all – there is hint of a cross in that sunshine. Jesus Christ, our Lord, gave us life everlasting through His birth, life, death, burial and resurrection – He alone is our hope and joy. I am grateful that I am one of ‘His people’. I pray you all have a peaceful and blessed Christmas!
