I have Asters growing in a planter; the first time I ever sowed these type seeds. They are pretty pastel colors and I really like them!
I thought this verse from Psalms was a good pairing. I looked up the words ‘Planted’ and ‘Flourish’ and the Hebrew meaning of them. Planted has a meaning of a primary root and flourish has a meaning of blossom, bud or flower. Also I found out in my study that often a tree was planted in the courtyard of the temple and it symbolized a thriving and close relationship with God. So as I thought about this I realized the basis of our relationship with our Lord is to firm up our roots in His word and by prayer, thereby we grow and mature in the faith. And besides this, we can sow the seeds of our faith as we minister to others. Maybe this seems basic but it is always a joy for me to have those meaningful correlations and they do build me up. Blessings to you this week!
