Good morning, all!
Our weekend is a bit emotional as we had the Celebration of Life event for my mom yesterday. We have a lot of family in for the tribute yesterday and the memorial at sea on Monday. Ups and downs in sentiments but it is nice to have everyone together, my mom would have loved it. This photograph is a pretty sunrise over the mountains in front of my mom’s house; there are some mornings when it is absolutely striking. I put this Scripture from the Psalms on it because I need to be reminded that my soul is in the Lord’s hands and my eyes should be sky level watching for Him. Back in this era, the shepherds had a night watch and could see when morning approached. Since God knows our every thought and what is in our hearts, my hope is to recall this verse when nighttime anxiousness happens and let it go. A good way to do that is by meditating in His word and giving God the glory for the joy and spiritual peace He has given. I pray blessings to you this week.

Good Sunday morning, friends!
October is almost over and it amazes me sometimes how fast the year has gone by! I try to look back at all the life events this year, so far, and can joyfully say that God has been there with me all throughout it - every second. His mercy is palpable, and I can sense His comfort. The Scripture I paired with this image goes on to say that with the comfort we receive from the Lord, we are in a position to comfort others because we have been through it and can relate. These pretty plumbago flowers are growing in one of my sister’s gardens in Malibu. They are a striking blue tone and remind me that if you look around your environment, there is beauty that stands out and it leads me to blessing the Lord and praising Him for being in my life. I gave this image a watercolor style for a botanical print appearance. May you have a beautiful and blessed week as you may have opportunity to share comfort to others! Sometimes I feel my old age, especially when I have full days of busy work. I get into the routines of the day and tend to neglect praising God for getting me through. I desire to be like this psalmist declares – to be fruitful and to praise the Lord for His love and faithfulness, all the time.
This pretty Camelia flower was in my other sister’s garden. I photographed it just after a light rain last week and the pretty pink of the flower flourished, with the raindrops holding on to its petals. That’s why I picked this verse to go with this image. There are times that I wonder what I can use for the Sunday Photo-Scriptures, but all I have to do is look at the Lord’s creation, pray for inspiration, and then I will always find a verse in His word to complement His handiwork. I pray blessings for you all this week! |
