Good morning, friends!
Our weather has been up and down temperature wise, so I haven’t been on as many walks as I needed to be. Therefore, in this week’s Photo-Scripture I chose an old photograph from years ago to edit this morning and add Scripture to it. This image is of a swan and ducks that were swimming together in a lake on a farm-ranch and I thought how lovely for them to share the space with each other. I considered it an ideal image to pair with this Scripture from Galatians. The word neighbor here in the Greek means close, countryman, friend or nearby fellow man. For me, there are times it is hard to show ‘love’ to someone when I feel hurt or offended, but then I have to think about how God loved me, a sinner (saved by His grace) and how His grace is a wonderful thing to behold. I need to share that love and grace; it is a commandment, and I must strive to put away my fleshly reasoning and obey God’s word. Love is an action and when I act on the love the Lord gave me, it will encourage me to continue to pass on the Light of His love to others. If I want the best for myself, I should want the best for my neighbor. Have a blessed week!

Happy New Year, Friends! I want to start this new year with more bible reading every day; less world more Lord.
This Scripture reminds me of the hope and trust I should have in the Lord God. God is love - with kindness and protection being just a couple of His infinite attributes. His mighty hand is on His children and I am thankful today for that lovingkindness throughout history and for His plan throughout the ages to come. I pray for a blessed week to come for all of you, my special friends! |
